HARDSCAPE DESIGN PIECES IN AQUARIUM

HARDSCAPE design pieces are created without using plants. Therefore, they require practically zero maintenance. These designs are characterized by great visual impact and strength, bringing your aquarium to life instantly. Rocky formations reminiscent of mountain ranges, autumn trees, are just examples of the infinite possibilities that this theme offers. They serve to recreate arid, old and evocative natural scenes. Authentic submerged terrestrial landscapes, which will shine in all their splendor in non-planted aquariums, or with very small flora. Include small fish that respect visual proportionality. We suggest placing a suitable substrate to increase the beauty of your aquarium. If it is not an aquarium with demanding plants, our recommendation is the use of fine sand.

You have the option of adding larger plants, and perhaps other woods, rocks, and substrates, to transition to a more colorful design. In this way, it will represent, in real size, a piece of the fluvial or lacustrine bottom. To that end, our hardscape styling pieces make a great foundation. Just add other layers to complete the decoration. They can be intertwined with other rocks or wood to create a larger piece. Even several of our pieces can be interlocked if the size of your aquarium allows it. The possibilities are endless.

USE WITHOUT AQUARIUM

Hardscape design pieces are also suitable for display as a piece of decoration in the home or office, without the need for an aquarium. You can place the part directly on a surface. You can also add a base with some kind of sand, to give visual reinforcement. Choose a corner with adequate space and light. Make sure that there are no other decorative elements nearby that could subtract part of its visual power. In this sense, avoid artificial figures, dolls, pots with tall plants, etc.

Our parts are maintenance free out of the box. However, it is possible to add certain plants or robust marsh-type algae (anubias, microsorum, bucephalandras, mosses, cladophoras, etc). In this case, take care that the ambient humidity is not too low. Try to keep the plants moistened frequently.
