Large aquariums are NOT more stable, as the widespread myth says. What really determines stability is the correct ratio between aquatic life and available space. When we start an aquascaping project, it is normal that our mentality, knowledge or experience naturally lead us to have much smaller fish and in fewer numbers.

Those aquariums with aquascaping in which plants dominate, and the mass of animal life is proportionally very low, reach a balance that makes them almost completely self-sufficient bubbles, where water changes can be reduced to a minimum. An aquarium with few or no plants, hardscaping style, is also possible with increased maintenance.

Shrimps and snails have earned their place in our hearts. A specific invertebrate aquarium provides unparalleled satisfaction to the person who maintains it. The main objective of an aquarium is to provide a non-toxic, chemically stable environment that supports plant and animal life. Unfortunately, it is common to see aquariums with excessive population, without plants, random decoration, poor or invasive maintenance, fish that are too large, all added to a high level of ignorance and total improvisation, sometimes aggravated by unscrupulous sellers. These beautiful projects usually have a short life, because they are destined to be photographed for contest entries, and shortly after, they are disassembled to create new designs.
However, the art of aquascaping begins from the moment in which we deeply and consciously consider a special decoration for our aquarium, not placed at random and indifferently. It is not necessary (or recommended) to start with the most difficult projects. It is a path to frustration. Let us help you.
