AQUASCAPE DESIGN PIECES IN AQUARIUM

AQUASCAPE design pieces are created using plants. Actually, “aquascape” or “aquascaping” are words with which we can refer to any landscape design in aquariums, but in our store we wanted to call that only the designs that have plants. The reason is that the origins of modern aquascaping were intimately linked with plants, before the “hardscaping” trends appeared.

Their maintenance needs are somewhat higher than designs without plants, precisely because of the presence of these plants. However, our current designs include only very robust and undemanding plants, which makes things much easier. You will have to pay attention to the light and nutritional needs of your plants, making use of fertilizers when necessary.

These designs are characterized by their great color, freshness, youth, and their ability to evolve over time. Carrying out a pruning according to your expectations, you will be able to see how the plants develop and give more beauty and vigor to your decoration, as the days go by. The aquascape design pieces recreate life-size images of river and lake bottoms. The reason for this is that the presence of plants causes the proportions to be perceived in real size. However, at Nympha Design ® we do not give up creating submerged landscapes, also with plants. For this we use suitable plants, which respect the visual proportions and are placed precisely. This allows us to create beautiful pieces that in your aquarium can represent large trees or small bonsai, depending on how the rest of the decoration is.

The pieces can be interlocked with other rocks or wood to create a larger piece. Even several of our pieces can be interlocked if the size of your aquarium allows it. The possibilities are endless.

USE WITHOUT AQUARIUM

The aquascape design pieces are also suitable for display as a piece of home or office decoration, but the presence of marshy plants means that high humidity is necessary to keep them in good condition. A good option may be to use the Japanese techniques of “Wabi-Kusa”, which are landscapes that are maintained without water, with the help of decorative urns that maintain humidity.
